kawachi fuji garden, japan

Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan (about a 4 hour drive from Tokyo) is where you will find this pastel-colored fairytale tunnel.

The gardens are home to about 150 Wisteria flowering plants spanning 20 different species (white, blue, purple, violet-blue and pink). This is the reason why the “tunnel” is so colorful and graceful.

Wisteria Tunnel is located at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan. Flowering wisteria blooms hang to create rows bursting with color overhead and dappled shadows below.

It's practically impossible to walk through the pastel-colored passageway of wisteria flowers at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan, without imagining an elegant fairy princess and her one-horned white steed prancing alongside you.

The Butchart Gardens also features a brilliant collection of exotic birds, plants, flowers, and beautiful statues which are worth the visit.

The Butchart Gardens receive over a million visitors each year due to the uniqueness of their floral display gardens.

Robert Pim Butchart (1856–1943) began manufacturing Portland cement in 1888 near his birthplace of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. He and his wife Jennie Butchart (1866–1950) came to the west coast of Canada because of rich limestone deposits necessary for cement production.
